How to Play Snapfire

Snapfire is a canvas-based aim trainer set in deep space. Glowing supernova targets spawn one at a time across a star-dusted canvas, each pulsing from small to full size in a bloom animation then fading back to nothing. Your job is to click or tap the target before it disappears. Click during the bloom peak — the first 300 milliseconds of the target's life — and you earn the maximum 150 points. Click later, between 300 and 700 ms, and you earn 100 points. Any click after 700 ms rewards 50 points. If the target fully fades without a click, you take a strike.

Three strikes end the round. Land three or more consecutive hits without a miss and a 1.2x streak multiplier activates on every subsequent hit until the streak breaks. Snapfire has four modes: Flick (10 shots, standard targets), Stream (unlimited targets for 30 seconds), Precision (20 shots with smaller, faster targets and 1.5x score multiplier), and Daily Challenge (a seeded sequence that's the same for every player on a given day, playable once per calendar day).

Snapfire — FAQ

What is the bloom bonus in Snapfire?
Clicking a target within its first 300 milliseconds — the bloom phase when the target pulses to full size — awards 150 points. Clicking between 300 and 700 ms awards 100 points. Clicking after 700 ms awards 50 points. Timing your click to the peak bloom is the fastest path to a high score.
How does Precision mode differ from Flick?
Precision mode spawns targets roughly half the radius of Flick targets and fade 1.5 times faster — the lifespan is divided by 1.5, so you have less time to react. All hit scores are multiplied by 1.5 to compensate for the smaller hit area, so a perfectly timed bloom click pays 225 points. You get 20 shots before the round ends, compared to Flick's 10.
How does the Daily Challenge work?
Each calendar day generates a unique seeded sequence of targets using the date as the random seed, so every player sees the same challenge that day. You can only play the Daily once per calendar day — a flag is saved in your browser's local storage. Your Daily score can still be submitted to the leaderboard.
Is there a streak bonus in Snapfire?
Yes. Landing 3 or more consecutive hits without a miss triggers a 1.2x streak multiplier that applies to every subsequent hit until you break the streak. A miss or expired target resets the streak to zero.
