How to Play Edge

Edge is a free knife-throw arcade game set in a shadowy saloon. A brass-rimmed wheel of dark mahogany spins before you — your job is to time each throw so your knife pins to an open arc without clipping a blade already stuck in the wood. Land all five knives cleanly to clear the round, then face a faster wheel with fresh obstacle knives and apple targets each time.

Throw with a click or tap anywhere on the board, the big THROW button, or the Space bar or Up arrow. From round four onward the obstacle knives snap onto a fixed five-point star 72 degrees apart, one more point filled each round until all five are in play, so the safe gaps become narrower and more regular — and from round five the wheel begins reversing direction every few seconds, which is where most runs end. Every fifth consecutive stick ignites Fire Mode: four seconds of bonus scoring worth an extra 100 points per knife, at the price of an immediate direction flip the moment it triggers.

Scoring Tips

• Chase the apple. Red apples sit on the wheel rim each round. Pin your knife within six degrees of one and you pop it for +50, scaled by your streak multiplier — apples never block a throw, so the only risk is the blades stuck beside them.
• Build your streak. Consecutive clean sticks boost your score multiplier — reach 10 for ×1.5 and 20 for ×2.0. Never waste a throw on an obvious gap; wait for the clean line.
• Survive FIRE mode. Every 5-streak triggers FIRE: the wheel reverses and your next successful stick earns +100. The disorientation is brief — breathe, find the gaps again.
• Watch obstacle placement. From round 4 onward, obstacle knives land on a fixed star pattern 72 degrees apart, adding one more point each round until all five are filled. Learn that spacing and you won't be surprised mid-round.
• Use Daily mode for bragging rights. Every player gets the same seeded sequence that day — same obstacle angles, same apple positions — making scores directly comparable.
